Although i don't prefer to buy gold online i would like to know the name of reputed sites from where gold could be purchased. One of my friend was asking about this topic. So if anyone would let me know some options it would be of great help.

I have heard from a reputable person that Bullion Direct is a safe and trustworthy internet site to buy Gold and Silver.

 

We purchase both gold and silver from the online site Apmex. It is best to order in bulk however, since it can cost $15 to ship a coin. I have never paid over $25 for shipping. When I entered in that I would be purchasing 500 S1 ounce silver coins, the shipping was still $25, so I am not sure if they even charge more than $25. Apmex is a very reputable site that requires signature confirmation when they deliver from USPS and their prices are awesome.

 

I've only purchased from Apmex and have had amazing experiences every time. As dashboardc33 mentioned, however, it's best to order in bulk, which you may not be able to do all the time if your budget won't allow it.

Haven't thought of buying online. When I buy gold, I go down to the goldsmith shop. I like to touch and see the gold before I pay for it.
