I found a United States 1943 silver dime. I was searching through some change and found it. It is a very old dime around WW2 and it is 90% silver. If any of you have not tried roll searching or are not a coin collector dimes and quarters (United States coins) are 90% silver up until 1965 where they decided to change the metal to copper clad because it was getting to expensive. you can easily find one by looking at the edges of the coin if you see copper on the rim than it is after 1964 if it looks silvery check the date and you may just find some silver! Just thought I would share this with you guys.

Awesome job! I search through all my dimes to check the years and have not had much luck thus far. I also search through my pennies; just in case. :)

Yea Thanks! Yep, I always check the pennies because any from pre 1982 are 90% copper and can be worth 3-4 cdents on Ebay.

I think what you have found is probably worth much more than the value of the silver in it. Either keep it as souvenir for your grandchildren or, if you do need the money, put it up for sale with some old coins dealer. There may even be some sites dealing in that.

Awesome.. you can already consider that as a collector's item which is worth more than any amount of money.. uhm, me, not having luck on finding one yet.. :( hehe..

The 1943 Mercury dime had a large mintage and unless it is in mint state, is worth only the silver value at least for now.

That is true... it is hardly worth more than $5 in catalogue value. Silver prices are increasing... so silver value is worth almost the cat value.
