If you've got tons of extra time you spend twiddling your fingers, and a little bit of extra cash, I guess it could work out for you. I'd rather put it in some nice silver rounds, personally, if I had some extra cash. Stock up on ammo, supplies and stuff. A huge pile of nickels might be cool too, but not as a priority.
A good heads up nonetheless! I've been seriously considering just turning in all my 1982 pennies and later, and just keeping everything else just in case. My priority would definitely be the ammo and supplies, and I'm already started on that one. Survival is a priority, then the resources.
This forum needs a new section.... Apocalypse preparation investments. You know, since we're talking about investing in ammo and supplies here But I agree, it might be worth spending a few bucks on rolls of nickels now and then.
