    I like how they tried to chalk it up to "simply a form of domestic terrorism."

    What's funny is if these things are made of silver, then they are actually more valuable than our current currency, so of course it undermines it.

    Well, that's what I was thinking. I'll take them all day long at one dollar each.

    Maybe if von NotHaus didn't put the $ sign on his silver Liberty dollar coins, he would have avoided tangling with American law. I do believe that the government is overstepping its legal authority in this particular case because it is quite strange for preventing private citizens from making and selling pieces (coins or bars) of gold and silver and using them in money transactions. I would gladly take private money over government-issued currency since it's more financially secure and safe.

    I don't know if it's more financially secure, I mean, that's why we adopted a unified currency in the first place. That is, unless the value in the coin is worth it's weight or greater in the metal content.

    Figures. Our government (again...) does not know when to shut up and step down. Of course, when it's time to get something done they start twiddling their thumbs while sitting on on their diaper.

    Hah, yeah they seem to be really slow when it comes to changing something for the better. If they ever get around to it. They sure act fast when anyone even dares to compete with them in any way whatsoever.

    And thus private industry falls, personal rights fall, and any attempts at recovering our Republic will fall.

    The government has been taking over, and it's more apparent than ever. Our constitutional rights are being ignored, our President is illegally pushing certain bills through without any repercussion, and anyone who takes a stand either dies or ends up in jail, or completely vanishes.

    They've got to stop blaming/relying on the people for their lack of control over their money.

    Government = assholes. 'Nuff said.

    Seriously, I mean, why should the government care? He wasn't counterfeiting currency or anything. He made some damn coins to sell and make some profit. Is that a crime?

    In the age of big government and limiting capitalism unless it benefits the weak and minorities, then yes, it is a crime. ;)

    If you do desire to stay in this country, the South would be your best bet, stay away from the Northeast. It will eventually spread to the Southeast too I guess, but who am I to say? Depending on your complexion, and your religious preferences, some places in Africa wouldn't be all that great to go to.
