About $1 I do believe. Maybe even less at $0.80. Grams of copper isn't too much, considering it's just over $4.25 for a whole pound.

On some sites they are selling 10 grams for about £6 GBP but im getting some money together and ordering a safe and getting some money to get some silver.

A much better bet than Copper in my opinion. To me, my investment in copper is what I can scrounge together. I'm not willing to buy copper to be honest unless it's one heck of a deal.

Im going to sort through if I have got any scrap copper today and with your copper do you melt it or sell it as is?

I sell as-is when I get enough, melting it down isn't all to easy for me. Have to have a really good heat source, probably have to invest in a blow torch at the very least.

Well my grandfather had his house done out recently and kept all the wiring, I striped it all and had 8lb and a half of copper wire :)

You sell it yet? Wonder how much a scrap dealer is giving in the UK?

The prices of metals can be found at www.metalprices.com and those shown on the website I have just provided are "pure" grade copper meaning if you have copper pipe or "scrap copper" it is only 3/4 the price shown. I hope this helps you.

I've always used Kitco to look up current prices of metals. If you've never used them before just search them on Google. I've found them to always be very accurate with pricings.
