Gold might have history on its side, but when it comes to investing in precious metals platinum arguably makes more sense. Platinum is rarer, dearer and just as pretty. What's more, unlike gold, it has an important industrial use in automotive catalytic converters and LCD TV screens. If that weren't enough to recommend the white metal, the launch of new exchange-traded funds makes platinum easier than ever to buy and sell. Why is Platinum better than Gold for you?
I never thought of it that way Lord Roco. I guess when I think of investing I think of gold and silver and maybe copper. I never thought of platinum! But you make a good point.
I agree ,Platinum is more rare and expensive than gold. Now Platinum is used for jewelry, and an investment broker highlights platinum jewelry is very popular in Japan. There may be some industrial uses perhaps in the field of electronics.LOL
I have only really known about it as "Better than gold" from Bronze to silver to gold to platinum. Possibly because its rarer and people will pay more to get it, like a nice car they are rarer than normal cars, so they cost more...not a very good example as they drive faster and look good but you get what im saying lol
While I like the way platinum is sounding because of it being so rare, I am leaning towards investing towards gold. I think that makes more sense to me.
