I thought I'd add a picture just to show recently found skills (well developing skills!) with the info gleaned from here. Very many thanks to a number of different people.

I have just started collecting bullion coins - now that I have started photographing them I am a little horrified that they look so bashed about. I guess that is what bullion is all about.

I need to do some work on reducing shadows but pretty pleased for a first attempt.

Not too shabby IMO. They look way better than the pictures I take :)

I have the 3rd 1 in 1/2 oz. wolf. nice looking bullion coins you've got there. :blackalien: you might want to repost these in the "Post your silver bullion!!!" thread. many people collect these bullion coins. I would guess that no one there has a complete set like yours. go check it out... you might see something there that interests your next silver bullion coin buys.

Spirityoda - I love them. The Eagles look a little dull next to the Maples and very dull against the Perth Mint coins. I dropped a post in silver bullion. Thanks for the tip.

Pretty good overall. Just a little dark but a lot better than what I can do :) I have all the coins as well and think it was money well spent.

Wow that's good camera work. Where's the milk spots?

Why are milk spots prevalent on Canadian coins, far less so everywhere else?

I was being sarcastic, which is hard via print, maple leafs and other canadian bullion coins are famous for the milk spots on them from the wash and your coins don't have them and because canadian coins typically do it must have been your photos skills, when the truth is they are great examples for the series.

Sarcastic or not, the milk spots are there. They are not so easy to see until you look at the coins through a magnifier or take a picture and view it on a larger screen. None of my other coins have milk spots, just it seems, the Canadian ones.

Most of my canadian coins have them also, it really can upset a man when you get a nice coin in the mint package and it has a milk spot on it.
