SilverTowne just emailed me their offer on the half dollar gold and 2 coin silver Kennedy coins. $5000 for first day PF70 release at the ANA and the mint outlets. $1000 less for the PF69's. $39.95 for the two coin silver sets. If you act fast, you can get them while their hot. I wonder how long they will last?

Hurry & go to Modern Coin Wholesale. Offering single unc Kennedy set for $38.75 BUT 10 of the same sets for a whopping $38.75. Someone made a mistake in the listing.

Anything to make a buck. Some day folks will wake up and say, "why do I have to pay high prices for these coins"? I mean, heck, my Beanie Baby collection has taken a tremendous hit not to mention all of those collector plates I invested in. Is there a God in Heaven to protect me? I can hear him chuckling off in the distance.........

I'm sure they'll come in Monday and start shipping all those "erroneous orders" without any question.

Why wouldn't they? They are making their money on volume, just like walmart.

I went to the site and just couldn't pull the trigger. The set just doesn't interest me and isn't worth my time. I'm not greedy enough to get involved. All this kind of activity is starting to make me rethink collecting. Perhaps GDJMSP had the right idea. Get rid of your collection and enjoy currency through it's history and it's knowledge. It takes buying and selling out of the equation, which is the capitalistic side, and leaves a more noble pursuit in it's place. You can still admire the coins through conventions and shows and leave the less desirable element out of it. I think I like that.

Sorry, it wasn't an erroneuos order...maybe an erroneuos listing. Not my problem, theirs. If they don't ship or honor the price, what does it cost me. Think about it. This is probably one of the many outfits that bused people to the ANA to buy the Kennedy's. Why not give them a sharp stick in the eye for a "listing".

The two coin set is clad, not silver. If the US Mint is selling the two coin sets for $9.95, why would anyone pay $39.95 for them?

    Exactly what I was thinking...

The two-coin set is only $21.95 at U.S. State Quarters.com. That's a mere 2.1 times the price you could get it for today at the US Mint. Truly a bargain! I'm convinced that the coins sold by dealers like USstatequarters.com are culls from sets they've dismantled for grading.

MCM must have pulled the clad offer because I can't find it on their website.

Yeah, they figured it out. They refunded my money today, and cancelled my order.

They listed it now at over $230 piece set, oh well thought it was a good deal if I could get it.
