    I think its a fair question what the author asks. He says he believes all of the recent action against the market makers have made them less involved in the market. Maybe all of those who have cried wolf over the years haranguing the market makers of pm will get their wish, a highly illiquid, high spread market. Everyone involved in pm will suffer, but the "pm is manipulated" crowd will be able to claim victory. I just hope they google "pyrrhic victory".

    I feel you. It seems like a lot of people in the "pm is manipulated" crowd see the input of big players as the only thing holding gold back from like...$3,000/oz or something absurd like that.

    It seems to me that a lot of the "manipulation" going on is just large traders setting up short-term positions rather than some systemic conspiracy to keep gold low.
