That's why i bought a brand new Ford a couple months ago, they never took a dime from the taxpayers. Since im a union worker in construction, my purchase contributes to the union workers of Ford.

Keep it in the family i say..

Yes, my point is, that it is all relative, it really makes little sense to believe silver is a good deal, just because it's "half off". Just as it does not make sense to think it is a bad deal because it is selling for twice as much as it was just a handful of years ago. Other methods should be used for valuation.

Now, you have it all wrong about my " beloved" stocks. I have zero preference for ANY asset class, it is not bullion against stocks for me as it is for you. Every asset class is considered and decisions are made based on valuation and potential. It may seem to you as I love stocks and hate bullion, but that was only based on the price point and valuation of those asset classes of the last few years. It is so much easier to look around and choose something that looks cheap rather than always saying that one single commodity is the answer.

I agree with Mike's post above. And, if you haven't been in the equity market over the last 3 years, you missed the boat.

  6. Although it is true that silver dropped below $10 in 2008, it was always difficult to find silver at that price. I remember that online sellers always seemed to be sold out during the dips but miraculously had stock available when the price increased.

That was true only for retail physical, if you wanted the big bars, or "paper silver" there was no problem at all.
