Still have not received mine. GRRRR. Got the email from the US Mint on Thursday - says date shipped 5/22. I WANT MY COIN!!!! Did they send it by covered wagon??? :rage::banghead::mad::punch:

Phew. Ok, I am better now.

  4. My Shenandoah puck is at a FedEx hub in Northampton, MA. It should arrive on Thursday. The SP70's usually take a few more days to ship. :) TC

Mine arrived Saturday... very nice looking coin! Slight imperfection on the pretty side, but oh well

Got mine yesterday. I like the high relief of the mountains.

Probably a bulk lot submitted by a dealer that did not inspect each one they got from the mint.

Well, at least its worth melt. 5oz at 19 bucks, puts it at $95 - not bad if you can get it for that.

So, update on this ebay item:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/331223193063?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1426.l2649

It is currently going for $145!!! What? That's what it costs for a new one from the mint (with the subscription anyway). Shocked that this is going for such a high price. The price of silver is $19.08 as I write this, so that's $95.40 worth of silver and a premium of nearly $50!!! That's a 52% price markup for what is basically now a bullion coin.

Not sure what people are thinking... am I missing something? Does this still have significant numismatic value with the rim damage and details grade?

I cannot imagine why a damaged coin would command this level of pricing, but it is eBay and anything can happen. I saw some really wacky prices for Franklin Mint base metal specimen sets two weeks ago that were beyond ridiculous, paling in comparison to this coin.

  13. I am a bit surprised even for eBay. My best guess is that someone thinks the unique label will be worth something in the future.

Very good possibility. The price is already higher than a P-mintmarked numismatic version.
Apparently, these "CAC" labels are really important to some collectors. I own only two certified coins, so a "cack" label means little to my collecting interests.

I don't see a CAC bean/label.... are we talking about the same coin?
