Here are my gold bars and coins. Total of 8.2 ounces. Please show off your awesome gold coins and bars. (I wish I had a better camera).
you're rich. I have tiny gold coins will post later after my project here. nice stack you have so far. my stack is so tiny. lol
The top bar that has Chinese writings weighes 1.2 ounces (they call it 1 tael, which is 37.5grams, just like the gold content in a Mexican 50 pesos). The front looks like this with hologram on it. One thing good about buying gold from the Bank of Taiwan is that they would record customers' ID whnever you buy or sell back to them and you can only sell it back if you have the original receipt and the plastic box is intact. The premium is one of the lowest I know, so it is not the prettiest bar in the world.
I've enjoyed seeing all the posts in the "Post your silver bullion!!!" thread. I expect this thread will see fewer posts because silver is so much easier to collect, but I look forward to seeing them. It's off to a good start so far! I've only got a little bit of gold, nothing special, but I'll try to post a few pictures sometime soon.
If my kid was 30, living at home, not paying rent and buying gold, I know who would end up owning the gold... I have several gold eagles from the mint and one raw gold nugget purchased from a fellow CT member, but that's about it. And I don't pay rent because I own my home.
do you live in Taiwan? Is that how you got the bar? I like it and was actually born in Taiwan but live in the US now and have been for a very long time
One day I'll save up to buy a 1/4oz, but for now I just enjoy buying these 1/10th oz 5 Gold Eagles 1 Krug 1 Maple Leaf 1 Snake 1 Libertad
my gold so far: San Marino 1986 2 scudi gold coin. .917 gold mintage-8, 000, 4 grams, 0.1179oz. 2006 MONGOLIA 1000 Tugrik .999 gold mintage-25,000 1.24 grams, 0.0398 13.92mm Papua New Guinea 1998 20Kina, .999 gold 1.24 grams, 0.0398 13.92mm Cook Islands Panama. I know they are small but they are still gold to me. better than no gold.
thank you. the San Marino spider rarely comes up. there is a spider and ant set on Ebay now that is way over priced. I have been wanting the ant for a while but I had car problems to get fixed. my other coins are quite common on Ebay.
While some may consider them "common", they're certainly not ordinary by my standards as I've never seen any of these particular coins in person. Around here, it's mostly just US and Canadian gold. Thanks for sharing!
