Fakes selling like hot cakes, people thinking what great deals they've got. Can you guess the fake? Just vote, don't write your opinions until after the poll ended.
I do not own this coin, so have nothing to reference it to. However, just from the images of these two coins the one on the left has poorer engraving on the plant at 7 o clock, and the mountains, so I would guess it was the fake.
The knockers on coin one looks fake so I'll say that coin is fake. It looks fuller on coin 2 and has definition to it.
Just for the record, I voted for #2 as the counterfeit (and so far I appear to be the only one who thinks that), but as wcoins has asked, I'll refrain from specifying what I see as the diagnostic basis for my call until after the poll has ended.
Number 2 looks wrong to me. (although the resolution is so bad in the second pic I can't tell what's really off, and what is just digital artifacts from over-sharpening and compression)
#2 is definitely fake. TC Lettering is wrong. Outstretched arm looks like rubber man. Deviations in the rack are know to occur. TC
The vote has evened up quite a bit. When I weighed in, it was 7-0 for #1 being the fake. Aside from the photos, I'd kind of like to know if the counterfeit is debased as to silver content (likely) and off in weight (also likely).
If one is definitely legit, please change my vote from Coin 1 to Coin 2. (I had to cheat and look at the hi-rez photo of my 2013 proof 5-onza I uploaded here in "Post Your Bullion" ) Wow, my 5-Onza looks very highly detailed compared to the 1-Onza.
