It's just what it says it is. A bit of silver. Hope you have a good magnifier.

I assumed it would be tiny. Was this made by a private mint?

Yes, made privately. I wouldn't buy those. Nice novelty but that's all to it.

I know it's a novelty but I thought it was worth taking a chance on for only 2 and a half dollars. We'll see what it's like when it gets here.

There's only 71 cents worth of silver in it.

Since I'm not going to melt it down, it's irrelevant.

Then I would avoid buying any bullion made by a private mint. It's only going to be worth its precious metal content. Unless you collect interesting bullion, though. It might be neat to say look at how small this silver bar is!

I collect interesting coins and this bullion bar, while technically not a coin, is interesting and cheap, so why not?

While most times, this is the case, it's not always true. I have some Private Mint "bullion" bars that will easily sell for $100 or more right now.

Bugo, if you like it, that's all that matters.

These are definitely a ripoff. They don't have much collectible value as they're an unknown product not made by any mint of repute. They don't have much value as silver - about $.65 worth. They're tiny. VERY tiny.

you can always buy 8 or 10 and glue them on for a fancy fingernail set. about the right size.

I bought it because I wanted it. If it's any consolation, I also bought an American Silver Eagle.

It came today, and I like it. It's about as wide as a dime, which is bigger than I expected from some of the comments on this forum. It has a permanent place in my collection along with other novelty coins and bullion.
