I have some .925 bars I have poured myself, what percentage of the spot silver price will my local coin store pay for these?

I would try to sell them here. A coin store will pay you around 65% of spot. Around here, whenever I post a for sale add for silver around 97% of spot, I sell it within a day.

Yeah, but not for hand poured .925 bars. Nobody will have the ability to confirm the purity as they are unmarked.

Well, yeah that is true. But I still think that there may be a better option than a coin store.

I would forget going to a coin store. Go to the most popular and trusted jewelry store that purchases scrap gold and silver.

"home made" silver. That would be last on my list of silver products to buy.

Agreed. I think you would need to go to a jewelry store so they can test it. Unless you live in an area where you have a commercial smelter and refiner nearby. We have one here and I have taken dental gold to them. They will melt it down and refine and give you a pure stamped bar (they keep 10% of the metal as their fee) or they will pay you. I can't remember what percent they paid but I know it was more than the local jewelry stores.

Here is who I used: http://www.aaametals.com/index.htm

I'm curious as to how you melted/poured it.
