    It takes time to build a collector base. Remember that the gold and silver eagles have a 20 year head start on the buffalos.

    I was able to buy one on Monday before the prices took off. It may not meet your definition of a "great level", but prices are up $400 in 48 hours. I'll take it!

    I wouldn't throw in the towel just yet. All it would take is 45 returns or cancellations for it to still be the key. That was a large number of last day orders, so it is possible that they don't have coins to fill them all.

    The final mintage was revised downward to 18,596 on the mint's website. :D
