Silver maples are more pure at .9999 instead of .999. They are also cheaper than Silver Eagles. However, they develop milk spots which most would consider unattractive. I would either purchase American Eagles (the most recognized bullion coin) or name brand bars such as Engelhard, JM, Sunshine, etc.
