Ever since 2008, the Mint has made an astronomical amount of Silver American Eagles, in response to the global economy faltering and the demand for people wishing to use them as a hedge against inflation.
I get ASEs mostly because I liked Walkers from when I was a kid. I have a whole set plus maybe 100-120 more but for inflation protection I mostly buy generic & junk silver, when I started picking them up 10 million was a big mintage.
Excellent question crazyinside. You see these pop up from newer members from time to time. Usually though, they are trying to get to the ten post minimum because they have something to sell. Perhaps this was a reply to another thread posted in error?
