Just this week I had five of these tubes delivered off eBay myself for my pandas and they fit 15 each perfectly. Will definitely be buying a few more as I need them.
What is the plastic material? What is the recycle number on the bottom. At least I hope it is labeled as some plastics are not good for coins.
I bet the capsules aren't air or humidity tight. But some like toned ASE. They even tone in the Treasury Green top tubes, I have evidence
They look exactly like the Cap-tubes from JPs corner. I also don't really care that they aren't air tight as another poster suggested. By the time you put the coin in the actual Ait-tite, then stack those air-tites in these cap-tubes, you've pretty much reduced the flow of air to zilch. Drop in some desiccants in your storage area and I would like to think your coin would remain as is for quite some time. I never thought to check these things for PVC, I did just assume they were safe since JPs was recommending these for air-rite storage.
I use them ... great way to keep airtight capsuled coins together. Lids coming in many different colors/shades would be nice.
One of my main storage methods for my raw semi-numis silver. The coins that are either 'nice' bullion or common world coins with 70% or better silver content in AU/BU condition.
They look pretty nice!!. The only thing I don't like is that you can't really see the coins. I like to look at my coins every now & then so I keep my bullion in trays. They take up more room and cost more but I can see them with one glance
Has anyone ever bought this case for the 5 oz ATB bullion coins? If so how do you like the case? http://www.apmex.com/product/64588/brand-new-custom-wood-display-box-for-5-coin-atb-sets
