They look amazing and I'm thinking about buying 2 of them.
Anyone here have them in their collection?

I do like them. I get them also for my son at XMAS. Two per year.

No silver ones but I have 5 sets of the 1,5,10 cents 1950 copper elephant heads. and 1 copper nickel magnesium egyptian beetle from Somalia.

I like them a lot and have some of them. I especially like the fact they change the elephant design every year like the China Panda.

Also, the premium is not as high as some other silver bullion world coins. The production quality is not quite up to the standards of the Panda, Koala and Kookaburra, but the price is usually not as high either.

Have you noticed any production quality issues? I recently returned some due to some frost wear on the elephants. That surprised me since my prior tube purchases were fine. Otherwise, it's a beautiful proof-looking coin (on both sides!) that seem to become pricey when the new design is released.

The 2013 was my first year and I definitely plan on checking out the 2014's (so long a premiums are decent)

I have bought this series each of the last 3 years and have never had any issues with the production quality. One did have a scratch on it but I'm pretty sure that's because of whoever transferred it from the tube into the flip it came in. It is probably my favorite series right now for 2 reasons. The designs are top notch, and the coins appreciate in value very well over time.

Good acquisitions there! Those older coins are pricey. I started buying PM this year and did get the 2013 coin. I decided to pass on paying the high price for those prior years elephants. I definitely plan on buying the 2014 issue. I did come across some where the frost layer appeared scratched away (darker underneath) on a few areas of the elephants... the most noticeable being a streak along the trunk of the elephant on the left. The first 5 tubes I bought 3 months prior were all fine. Anyways, I was able to return the affected coins to the vendor. I'm a fan of this coin series and can't wait for the 2014.
