I had a chance to purchase 20 of their Omnia rounds and thought they were really nice, the shipping was about 3 weeks long but in all seemed like a good company to do business with. Has anyone else purchased items from them and if so how was your experience with them. Also I am thinking about buying their 10 OZ Stackers, has anyone bought them and how do they look?
I have used Scottsdale both via Ebay and through their website. I have always been pleased with their service. I was going to order some stackers but they were out of stock or on back order so long I personally lost interest. At this point if I was stacking silver I think I would just be order tubes of ASEs, but to each their own.
Do you think the Omnia's will carry a decent premium if I try to resell down the road? Are they considered one of the better companies in the silver bullion world?
Around here you would get below spot for generic rounds expect probably NTR which is based here. Depending on demand even Maples and Pandas may go at spot, Eagles always have a premium. My impression is if you divided private mints into 3 tiers (Top, Well Known, Generic) they would be one of the better ones in the Well Known tier. Personally beyond the stackers I really don't find their mint products all that compelling. But personally I am not into private mint products and haven't owned any.
Engelhard or Johnson Matthey are the ones that jump to my mind but the folks more interested in private mint stuff may have a couple more.
I know a dealer near me that has loose Omnia's that he has for sale, I'm gonna grab some more. He was selling them for $25 a piece a couple weeks ago when silver was higher.
Scottsdale products always seem to fetch a higher resale premium than other brands on auction sites like eBay.
