Well I guess the right price is what a person considers affordable, I have see so many different prices on this coin and when I find a price I consider fair they don't ship to Canada. I find this to be very frustrating when I do find one at what I consider a fair price. I will get one, it will just take some time and hunting around to find it. Alan
you are correct bud. some people on this forum are too rich to understand the amount of hunting necessary for some people to accumulate a simple bullion coin, and yes, there are strangely high shipping prices into/out of Canada. i happen to be obsessed with Canadian silver. i only buy it when it is free shipping included. so, yes, i too HUNT for my purchases. i bought ONE britannia as part of my "one ounce from every country" collection i put together last year....it came BUTCHERED, which is a subject of another post i have made. spoiled it for me. but they are BEAUTIFUL coins. maples and eagles are my core though.
Thanks rysherms The shipping charge can in some cases be out ragouts so hunting for a fair price and fair shipping, can take a wile...Alan
Reason I asked is I just bought a Britannia for $30 including shipping. Didn't see any for any less on fee-bay, so I got it.
whatever richie rich...go flash your bling somewhere else. HAHA jk....can we get some pics? This IS the post your bullion thread....
Hey Congrats Kentucky, that is an awesome price and shipping included. I have seen them for around $40.00 but that does not include shipping. It is a beautiful coin...Alan
I like parts of the design. I haven't pulled the trigger yet because I greatly dislike all the advertising on the round and also because the premium seems a bit high. Also, an online retailer that requires a check to be sent in the mail scares me. It does provide some relief that you received yours in a decent timeframe. My last coins for the cause purchase took way too long.
To be fair, I ordered the proof condition rounds first, 5/8 and these on 5/13. I got these today and got notice that the proof condition rounds were shipped today. I have a threshold that I was willing to allow them to have, about $400, and since they came through on those 2 orders, I'll continue to buy these and a few other designs they have. One I will not buy is the "special packaging" proof sentinel they're offering now. At $52, I'll buy 2 of these, or something else.
today, from my aunt, i got a full roll of silver quarters and three full rolls of silver dimes, including 12 mercury dimes. she also gave me 8 silver canadian quarters and 8 silver canadian dimes oh and i forgot to post it but she also found and gave me my 3rd franklin half, my second morgan, and about 5 more 1964 halves and and about 10 more 40% halves VERY happy
make sure you send her a thank you note/letter letting her know how happy she made you. sounds like a very generous gift. my grandmother sent a gift to me and my parents gave it to me about 2 years ago. it was 300 1964 silver Kennedy halfs. my mouth hit the floor in shock and excitement. I thought and felt like I had just won the lottery. I made sure to thank her over and over. what great gifts.
we live with her i keep thanking her so much and when i saw that morgan.. MAN i was excited, just like when i found my first one in the coin box that belonged to my grandfather, then my mom, now she gave it to me, seeing that coin both times made my week
Well I just won another in the Canada wildlife series the 2013 Pronghorn Antelope. This coin along with the 2013 Bison are the last coins in the series, I did not go looking for this coin but like the rest I just put in a bid and forgot about it.I thought my bid was to low, and it was, but in this case I won it anyway so I am very happy with my newest coin in the series. I hope you enjoy it Alan
The 2 BU's I ordered came in today. They also threw in a free copper round. AG-47 proofs next. :rollling:
Those are very nice, IMO. That AG-47 looks very similar, but still different and as somebody pointed out, no advertising. I'm going to buy those next. Still not going to buy the $52 Sentinel proof, too much money for a proof struck generic with lame packaging....the AG-47 proof has much nicer packaging for less money...and I'm going to think long and hard before I buy that....
