Just wanted to let everyone know that the 2013 Silver Fiji Taku bullion coins are now available. The reverse remains the same as before, but the obverse has been changed. The New Zealand mint has now also placed a mintage limit of 350K on the 1 ounce bullion coin this year. Here are some stock pics as mine is still in transit. Enjoy, TC
Thanks for the news on the new reverse design, TC. I wasn't going to get any this year because I assumed it was going to be the same-o lame-o like the ASE, Maple Leaf and Libertad. However, now that they have dumped Queenie in favor of something better, I have this sudden urge to get a few.
I do liken the new design. Moderncoinmart has them in their eBay store. Apmex and Silvertowne also have them. I used MCM since I had an eBay discount code which brought the cost down close to spot. These are interesting to me. I like the Taku design. This is the first time I can recall a mint changing the obverse and not the reverse of a bullion coin. These fly under the radar as well. I heard that mintage for the 2010 was around 10,000 and 2011 was around 20,000 even though they set up mintage by demand. That is extremely low for a 1 ounce bullion non-proof coin. TC
