2012 Ireland Silver Proof 15 Euro (Wolfhound) by Central Bank of Ireland

I just ordered a 2012 Ireland Silver Proof 15 Euro of the .925 Serling Irish Wolfhound. Only 8,000 minted. Third and last on in the Animals of Irish Coinage set.

Last year, I ordered the other two Horse and Salmon Ireland Silver Proof 15 Euro of the .925 Serling coins.

I'd like to see some pics of your coins Silver. I have some older Irish coins and a few proof sets but nothing like yours.

I like the Irish silver, but I am suprised that the The Royal Dutch Mint (Sold by Central Bank of Ireland) makes it!

Pretty normal. The Irish circulation coins are usually minted in Dublin (Sandyford), but special issues such as proof sets or proof collector coins are made elsewhere: Monnaie de Paris/FR, Mint of Finland/FI, Mayer Mint/DE, Royal Dutch Mint/NL ... The KNM (in Utrecht) actually made all three of these "Coinage Animals" issues.

I know the Dutch make quality stuff, but I would think that if these Irish circulation coins were usually minted in Dublin (Sandyford) it would be more cool

 

The Irish circulation coins are indeed minted in Ireland. Those proof-only collector coins however ...

I ordered two Irish Silver coins direct from the Central Bank of Ireland

8 Jan 2013 I mailed in form from USA to Ireland.
18 Jan 2013, Central Bank of Ireland charged VISA......(91.50 Euro = $122.64 in Visa in USD). Add a $1.23 Visa Foreign Tran CHG

30 Jan 2013 (still do not have coins)

I have just recently discovered some of these coins myself. I love almost all that I have seen so far. Strangely I recently ordered my 1st and am awaiting it's arrival from Ireland I fell in love with it instantly. 20 Euro Celtic culture. can't wait to have it in hand.

 

They are very neat stirling silver bullion. I wish they were really made in Ireland, but I still wanted them. At least they went with a high quality mint. It is cool that you can order direct from Central Bank of Ireland:hail: My orders have been great.
