Some may be skeptical about my local auctions. hee hee! Gotta love deals like this! Described as a "Joe Cool Camel collectable coin" & not a word of silver. Won this lot for $19.13 plus BP. Post your "How'd I win it for that?!" auctions here! Bragging rights for the great deals!

A couple of weeks ago I won a complete Eisenhower $1 set in a Dansco ablum for $135 plus 10% BP. I thought that $150 to get the set in 1 stop was a pretty good deal.:)

About 3 years ago, a friend had an eBay auction for a nicely toned 1883-CC Morgan in NGC MS65. I placed my bid at $1050, but the final bid won at $1200. Less than 2 weeks later, he had another toned 1883-CC, and this time, it was in an NGC MS65 "No Line Fatty". I didn't want to take any chances, so I placed my max bid at $1500. When the auction closed, I won it for $511.

Man, I have had so many great steals this year.
But this is one of my favorites.
    Paid melt for these.
I think the biggest reason I won it so cheap was because it was listed in the wrong category and the pictures were absolutely horrid.

With the luck you've been having, you could fall, head first, into a pile of fresh maneur and find a Flowing Hair Dollar.

    Lmao. It's worth a try!

Seriously, I can't believe what I scored over the weekend. I can't wait to get them.

It's a surprise! It's all due to poor imaging or even worse, scanning. I ended up paying melt for items that are worth much, much, more.

Sorry OP, not trying to hijack your thread. Back to the deals!

I picked up a readable date 1802 Large Cent for $6.50 w/free shipping a few months back. It is worn for sure, but for $6.50, pretty good deal in my book. The pics were scans and it looked almost blank except when holding your computer screen at an angle to increase the contrast a bit.

    Won this tonight

Among other things, I won this coin-sword tonight at a local estate auction. There were many items that gave me the idea that the person was of Chinese descent. I'm going to start a thread on it after I go pick it up, on Monday most likely. My friendly local auction house is very flexible when it comes to early pick ups :) It looks like someone recently put it together. I sure don't know how to do that but I've read about them in books so I'm kinda ecstatic over it! It's gonna look great on the wall over where I look at my coins! :) I can't wait to go get it!

Thanks! :) My supervisor let me use her phone to bid on it while at work. :) Now I gotta bring it to work before it goes on the wall. C'mon Monday!
