Anyone know if the mint is out of 2012 gold eagles as well? They have sold 46,000+ oz so far this month but no 1/10th oz coins and very few quarters or half ouncers either, ticker isn't moving up that fast as I figure it would... These big price drops scare me... seems like manipulation to me cause with all of the turmoil in the economy, why would you dump you gold/silver? Anyway there seems to be a lot of silver heading out of the COMEX this week... 1,500,000 oz today, 800,000 oz yesterday... someone is filling a lot of orders... or just a really big one http://www.cmegroup.com/delivery_reports/Silver_stocks.xls Had surgury on my hand on Friday so appologies if i ramble or make less sense then usual.
ok so even though i am talking to myself here the mint sure is selling a lot of gold... they just updated their numbers and have sold 64,500 oz this month, mostly 1oz coins...last month was the highest of the year at 136,500 oz sold, followed by January which stands at 127,000 oz. Next highest after that is 68,500 oz so it looks like it will be at least the 3rd highest selling month of the year. So hopefully the Dec 21st thing is the end of manipulation in the gold/silver markets... we all know it's not the end of the world because Marty McFly traveled to 2015!

I don't think the cut off of the 2012 had anything to do with the mint running out of silver or planchets. I think it's due more to them turning things around and beginning production of the 2013 eagles. There's going to be plenty to go around for everyone......
Oh i'm sure they will get them too... now is definitely the time to buy IMHO. Been selling off my more collectible stuff and buyin more bullion. Once the FED turns up the presses in January things will get interesting.
