hi everyone. I was wondering why the wildlife coins vary in price? I would like to at least obtain 1 of each. I ordered the moose, and was looking at the cougar and grizzly, but they are more $. I guess collecting comes with investing, lol
Smokin., Well, yes it does, when you start collecting a set of coins that have been previously minted and sold out. I did the same thing. I got interested in the Canadian Wildlife coins and decided to buy them all, as they came out. I ended up buying the Wolf, Cougar and the Grizzly on ebay from one dealer selling all 3 at once. I realized that they all will go up in value as they sell out, so I bought the next issue, the Moose, from the Canadian Mint. This time I bought 20 of them, thinking that they will sell for more when the series gets really popular and the Moose's (Meece?) are sold out. While I'm OK with buying from the Canadian Mint, I was charged an international exchange fee, either by my credit card or my bank. I don't recall which did it. Now the Antelope is out for Pre-orders but they aren't cheap. I'm debating weather to buy 1, 5 or 25 again. My finances have changed since last I bought from the C.M. So, If you really want the whole set then bite the bullet and buy them the most affordable way you can. Then, when you have a set to look at you can appreciate what you've have and how you've done it..
I watch the prices of these pretty carefully. If you're looking for bu without milk spots the only 2 that will cost you more than a few dollars over spot are the wolf, which can be found in the $50 to $60 range and the grizzly which can be in the $38 to $45 range. If you don't care about the milk spots, they can be had for $5 or so less. The cougar, moose and antelope are easy to find and cheap enough to buy.
So far I have naught the maple.....wolf and moose. My first three coins. What order did the wildlife come in and when's the next Comming out?

They won't tell what the next one is until you see them on dealer sites as a presell or, if you prefer, the last one is next.
Right now, Provident Metals sells the Antelope for $35.73. It's gone up in the last few hours. It (SPOT price), may go down in the near future, or NOT. You may do bettter to watch the spot prices go up and down and buy from Provident Metals, APMEX or another PM dealer as times change. Then again, eBay be your best bet.
