Whats the production difference? I do all my gold investing on paper, but I can't resist grabbing one of these beauties w/ a Buffalo label. Wanted to find out the key points of interest between the two? There's about a 400.00 difference from what I've seen.

Well, if you remove the First Strike designation from one, there is about a $399.99 difference.

Well from what I can see on the PCGS website they are priced exactly the same... So I would buy which ever one you can get cheaper, or you may want to check on the actual mintage numbers and see which one comes in lowest... Keep in mind the 2012's are still on sale, and probably will be for some time as the 2011 is still on sale too...

I would agree that you should check the mintage numbers. The FS designation is another marketing ploy to get people to pay another premium.

Do not pay up for the FS or ER designations.

First strike and early releases are meaningless -- except for a dealer who gets too much for his coin and a buyer who pays too much for it.

And yet I see people paying up more for those designations than they do for verifiable conditions like PL or MS-70.
