This just amazes me- how can they go to August and still be sitting on these. We should be between the second and third coin by now! If anyone has any news PLEASE let me know what is up

Do you think the US Mint is waiting on Congress to allow them to discontinue the program?

 

I posted that idea before- I hope not but it really looks that way- I really wish that someone with some inside info would let me know what is up

 

There is no need to be looking for inside info. Canceling the program would require that a bill be passed in both houses of congress and the new legislation signed into law by Obama. All such bills currently being considered are public record and can be looked up on their websites. If they don't exist, nothing changes.

 

As I understand it all they have to do is get one powerful congress person to tag it on to a bill that is already going through.

 

2011 the first one issued was 5/11 and 2nd a little late 6/23 then 9/1 &12/11. none since

 

Consent of Congress is no longer necessary. Obama just dictates action with Executive Orders and Congress meekly acquiesces.

There will be no new Spouses and Congress won't even be in session until after the election.

 

oh yea huh. Congress is out of session. This presents quite a problem- Obama can't just sign off on this without congress. We have a real situation here.
