You mean, I've been spending these for snickers bars at the 7-11 down the street and they're worth more? It's no wonder the 7-11 guy is so happy to see me each week. ;)

you have a point but silver rounds are not monetized. These are still one dollar coins with Federal magic fairy dust sprinkled over them to monetize them.

The box the 2006 anniversary set came the same way as you describe, the front folded down. I was assured by the shop where I bought it that all the sets came that way. I don't know if that is true or not, but it seems to do no harm so.....

Since I have NO intention of selling, sending for slabbing, or anything but keeping for myself, here you go:

I bought a 2nd set as well. The ship date is 9-28-12 as I placed the 2nd order on June 24th. I wish I would have bought two more sets. I think the coins are fantastic. This is my first reverse proof coin. I missed out on the 25th anniversary set and the 2006 set. The mint should have done a RP from Denver. Put that with the S RP. Now that is a set that would do very well.

I emailed the mint asking if they will be minting any more reverse proofs this year, and this was their reply.

    Dear Brian,

    Thank you for your e-mail.

The 2012 American Eagle Silver Reverse Proof Coin was minted solely for the American Eagle San Francisco Two-Coin Silver Proof Set. There are no plans to offer this coin for sale individually or in other sets this year. As product development unfolds for 2013 and beyond, we will be considering all options.

We appreciate your interest in our numismatic products and thank you for your feedback.

    Sincerely,
    United States Mint

Thanks. I really like the reverse proof. I looked at them on ebay and one coin is going for well over a hundred dollars now.

I got mines. They came last week. I am getting ready to send them to PCGS for grading.

Has anyone started a thread about the percentage grading at 69 versus 70? If not, I'm guessing the percentage at 70 is over 50%.
