Wow. Hope my kids aren't reading over my shoulder, otherwise I'm in trouble... They'd flip if they got this set, however I'd be worried they'd play with the "coins" if I got them for them.
Who ever is selling this is off his rocker. Who in the right mind pays over $100 for an ounce of silver? Apmex still has this set for $224.99. Although that is still $56.24 an ounce, it's much cheaper than the over $100/toz this guy is asking. http://www.apmex.com/Product/66921/...SpongeBob_Coin_Set_in_Treasure_Chest_Box.aspx
You are on a coin and bullion forum asking this question? I would guess all the people who bought the 25th anniversary ASE sets last year in the secondary market. Just for starters I would expect that many people who would buy this particular set aren't as into precious metals as some of us and probably have never heard of APMEX, Provident, or CT even. But they have heard of ebay.
That may be the worst written article ever. I had to read it about five times to figure out what it was attempting to communicate.
