Ok I found a 1922 replica silver peace dollar bullion coin it only says one pound on the back but it has a serial number 00994. What is it really made of. It doesn't say .999 silver on it so it can't be real right?

Remember that a 1 pound troy is 12 ounces troy, not 16 oz as in avoirdupous system.

If it isn't marked .999 silver, I wouldn't be interested.

Try checking the rim to see if there's a fineness marked there. I know on some of the earlier products, they may have not been marked.

But it depends... I've seen "pounds" and "half pounds" that were in troy ounces, but were 16 oz and 8 oz, and not 12 or 6. Causes a lot of confusion. Thankfully, they're generally always measured in troy though, and not avoirdupous.
