    Dipped? Yes
Soft center? Yes (although a hallmark of this die marriage)
Do I like it anyway? YES

Well, this is my first coin of the new year. I have been holding tight to my money since the winter months are here. But I couldn't pass on this proof Kennedy in this scarce pcgs holder!

In my quest to build lowball copper sets i came across these 2. Price guide is 25 on each. Seller had the pair up for 50.00 starting bid or make offer. I offered the 50. And he accepted. That's free shipping with it. I guess today marks the start of my coronet head large cent lowball set!

Buy something like this even if it doesn't fit your main collection. Fits my short set of Walkers, though.

I may have been... drinking wine on this weekend purchase a few weeks back (about $500 for the lot). I went to the "Ohhhh, pretty! Old slabs and nice silver shiny disks!" place. You know what though, that's a pretty nice place to be.

My last purchase of 2022 was about $500 worth of grading service and I'll still end up with the same coins, so you did well.

Yep I know all about wine purchases. Most of mine come that way lol! That was the story with the 2 fr02 large cents the other night. But those were a good deal. And the shipping was free. I would have bought them without wine.

My only two US acquisitions from the 2023 FUN show. I got both for less than sticker price.

I'll cross that Hard Times token to PCGS or NGC later. Its ANACS holder is kind of scratched up.

I was rushed, getting ready for FUN this year, and paid careful attention to my checklist as I packed. Unfortunately, I went with only one solitary check in my checkbook! That's what I get for not opening it and counting my checks before packing it.

Wanting to preserve that one check in case I saw a coin that I couldn't live without, I forewent my usual buying trip around the room on Wednesday until I'd raised enough cash via sales to fund my trip around the room.

By Thursday evening I felt flush enough with cash to go on a buying spree Friday morning. Most of the early deals were gone, but I managed to pick up a few things.

A better date 1856-O Half Dime, deserving of a higher grade than PCGS gave it . . . not that you can tell through the marred holder.

A better date 1904 Gold Eagle. I have firsthand knowledge of the large number of re-submissions of this date in pursuit of the next grade. The pop reports are far from accurate.

    A really pretty 1947-D Jefferson Nickel . . .
