Are there any websites that are safe and trusted for ordering PM's from? I searched a few topics, but wanted to hear what a few members had good experiences with. I know of Apmex. Any others? Thank you.
I have bought from APMEX & Provident Metals recently http://www.providentmetals.com/2012-1-oz-american-silver-eagle-bullion-coin.html
I have had good experiences with Provident Metals, Gainesville Coins, Apmex, Modern Coin Mart, Mint Products, and Paradise Mint. The first three for strictly bullion; the last three for PM collector coins. TC
APMEX.com is probably one of the best; however, you will pay more for your bullion than what you could find from a local B&M or dealer.
I just bought from http://store.scottsdalesilver.com anyone ever deal with them? a little premium but looks like people are paying more on ebay for then what I bought it at yesterday. and free shipping!
I've received the highest quality ASEs from mintproducts.com. However, be advised that their delivery tends to be on the slow side.
The cheapest would still be a local LCS, especially if they don't charge tax. But online I have ordered from APMEX, Provident Metals and Mintproducts.com they're all trusted online stores.
http://www.silvertowne.com is good for 1 oz silver bars. They have free shipping, if you buy their brand. Very nice product too.
Delurk.... I've made a few purchases on http://goldeneaglecoin.com, quite a low premium on some gold coins if (like me) you just buy one or two ounces at a time. Silver, not so good due to the $24.95 shipping.
Dealers I'd order from again www.providentmetals.com www.goldmart.com www.apmex.com www.gainesvillecoins.com www.moderncoinmart.com Places it'd take something pretty special for me to order from again, www.talismancoins.com www.goldeneaglecoin.com Places I haven't ordered from but would consider it if they have what I want at the best overall deal when I'm looking www.monarchpreciousmetals.com www.scottsdalesilver.com www.pandaamerica.com There are plenty more, but these are a list of some that I check when I'm looking to buy.
scottsdalesilver.com They are my favorite by far. Made in the USA ans has "in God We Trust" on most of their manufactured bars/rounds which I really like since I am a patriotic person.
I've successfully ordered from Kitco.com and Apmex in the US. I've ordered silver roses from wyargent.com in the UK. Also ordered some Isle of Man gold nobles from goldline.co.uk AKA Baird & Co back in 2009, good company to deal with. I've also ordered gold bullion from Goldmoney and bullionvault, but only hold a small amount there for trading purposes as Jim Sinclair once said, if you don't hold it you don't own it. Hopefully GM and BV are not scams because they now have around 60,000 customers between them, but James Turk and Paul Tustain seem like reputable guys. I almost forgot the royalmint.com in the uk, good products and service but a tad pricey.
I've successfully ordered items from the Moonlight Mint and would do so again. These coins for me are more of an indulgence than an investment. He is starting to sell hand poured silver bullion bars.
I don't know why so many people say the cheapest route is your LCS. For me, that is not true unless I'm only buying a couple of coins. If I buy a roll of 20 American Silver Eagles, it's cheaper for me to go through Provident Metals or APMEX, and we don't even have sales tax here in Montana. The cutoff is even lower for those in states that do have sales tax.
The first and only site I've ordered from was goldeneaglecoin.com their prices are fair and I havent had a problem so why try something new.
I don't think anyone has suggested eBay yet! They've got buyer protection. How much safer can you get? Just make sure you know how to check for counterfeits.
I've bought more stuff in the last year or so from others on bullion stacker than anywhere. It takes a little nerve to buy peer to peer, but I've gotten everything I've paid for. It's not for everyone, but it's been very good to me.
