Maybe that's why they threw you out. At 20 years old, you should be a man and pay your own way in this world. It's time to grow up Mr. Smalls. Get with the program and stop being a drain on society.
got it at a pawn shop for $500, got it appraised at 3 grand. I love hunting for treasure while merchanting gold and silver why are you being a grumpy old man? why don't you say that your happy for me for making legit money for my self in this S***ty econemy? alot of my friends my age don't have jobs right now and are living with they parents.
Come on, Rick.. he's not being a drain on society, just mum and dad. Maybe he should give his $3k ring to the parents for rent or get a job instead of wanting a coin buckle.. just crazy-speak, I know. Of course there is always jail though.
I went to jail for like a month for shoplifting batteries lol and then my parents kicked me out because of that
Now, I am confused. Why do you want a gold belt buckle when you are already wearing a ring worth $3K? It may be time for a safe instead or perhaps a gun if you want to wear all that bling. TC
I don't wear my expensive ring out too often. only on special occasions. and it stands out too much thats why I want a gold coin belt buckle so they nobody can see my gold
No one can see my gold, silver, rare coins, or other wealth either. That is because it is either in a SDB or in a brokerage account. Its cool to own it, I guess I just don't understand the need to wear it, but to each his own.
The art of sarcasm is seemingly lost upon you. Considering the situation, I would concern myself more with getting an education than "merchanting gold and silver" or buying a coin belt buckle. Just friendly advice.
First I'd look for a selection of coins or bullion that would fit properly into the belt buckle. Some 1oz 24k gold coins could be smaller than other 1oz gold coins at 22k. Find those that fit best and then decide which look best. I don't think I'd roll with a Panda. Not very manly. Good luck!
Americans live with their parents until like 30 nowadays. It's completely improbable for a 20 year old to be on their own in 2012.
Small gold coins look the best in my opinion. I know some collectors cringe when they see a gold coin in a bezel but you gotta realize most gold coins that are placed in bezels are not gem bu or anything close. Usually they are in fairly poor grades. Here's one I wear regularly. I used to wear a gold sovereign but I don't anymore. The only reason is because I can only wear one gold coin at a time. :thumb:
To the OP, I'll pass on giving you a sermon on how to live your life. IMO, nobody has the definitive recipe book on that. I'd say you are doing pretty good, if, at your point in life, you have already figured out the worth of gold vs money wasting away in a bank account. Given what you have said, my recommendation is to stick to a AGE. You can instantly pawn it in any pawn shop and they will give you close to spot for it. And given that it's coin gold, it's durable too. There probably isn't another form of gold where this is true.
I also have a sovereign coin pendent, a 1911 no mint mark. and I love it I bought it for cheap off an old man, mine is slightly more warn out then yours, on mine it looks like the king is bold, cant see any details of the hair and sideburns like yours.
