Here's one that you don't see every day-- A colored North Korean 1 ounce silver bullion coin, commemorating North Korean-Chinese "friendship"
I don't collect types or anything like that... I collect coins that IMO are interesting and/or beautiful. This is one I have been meaning to tick off my list of beautiful coins for a long time. The 1966 Australian 50c in .800 silver. It cost me £7 (US$11) which on UK eBay is an absolute bargain.
Hello, I just bought this today, it`s a cool simple mahogany box !! (sorry about the light it is night) It has 4 trays for 49 coins, one with a key too! (a lot of boxes are missing their key I noticed) I also bought a gun money crown on ebay will post a pic as soon as it arrives
Here is a coin that would be of little interest to most. A common VOC. Why I posted it here is because to me, this was a sale where the seller went out of his way to complete the transaction. I paid very little for it. I'm sure the seller spent ten times that getting it to me. It was purchased from someone in Jakarta in mid January and arrived this past Saturday, 04/05/2012. I post this in honor of a person, who gave this much time and effort, to satisfy his customer. Great job Mr Lumin! :>)
Got these nice type coins last week (posted in another thread) These first five are from East Africa, Austria, Ireland, The Philippines, and Sweden. The Sweden coin is from 1761.
