Hey guys, I'm still fairly new to bullion investing and was wondering how big your collections are. I am just trying to figure out if what I have is a "good" size collection. Currently I have 62.1 troy ounces of silver in my "junk silver" stash, 3 ASE's, 1 Maple, 1 Libertad, and one lonely 1oz Krugerrand. Its amazing to me that all of my silver isnt worth that much more than my one gold coin. Also where do you guys keep your collection? Ive thought about getting a safety deposit box but that means I wouldn't be able to check out my collection every two or three days like I do now haha (cant resist).
Personally, I only collect a couple of things. Barber and Seated Halves and 90% silver. It all lives in a Safe Deposit box 99.9% of the year.
Pretty little bullion wise, 2011 1 oz koala 2011 1/2 oz koala 2011 1/10 oz koala 1990 eisenhower comm. 2009 Louis. Braille Comm. I used to have more ase's but sold them Around 10ish cents from large & small ngc
That is a relatively small collection, but a good start. I do not divulge detailed info on the internet but I will say that I keep significantly more than that in various SDBs, not counting what stays in my home safe.
As far as the enjoyment of looking at your coins, just keep your favorites at home and leave the rest in the bank. I like to rotate what I keep at home for that exact reason.
I am going to reveal my full stash but I have about 150 world silver coins mostly 1 ozers' and good portion of gold coins are cataloged in my site.
Of just bullion? Idk, a few thousand face value, and a few ounces of gold. More if you count world silver, but I don't keep track of that as bullion.
My collectible coins and bullion comfortably fit in a small shoe box - not even half full. At any one time 90% is in the SBD. I rotate a few out from time to time.
Over my 10 months of really collecting coins I have around 27 ounces of silver. Maybe small, but I'm proud of it.
I keep mine in my shoe. This causes a noticeable limp, but if anyone asks, I just tell them I have a game leg and no one is the wiser.
I dont know if you can call my collection a "collection" its more or less organized chaos. I recently "maybe 2 months ago" got serious on my collecting path, and I am leaning toward 90% halves. As far as size goes, i would say in bullion (mainly ASE'S and 1 .ozers) i have about 30 ounces between ase's, 1 ounce bars and random 1 ounce sports related rounds. I am trying to increase my 90% silver total because i love hoarding it and being able to handle it. I have only been accumulating for less than a year so far....Looking to grow my collection to the size of some of the other users here. I really enjoy my 90% though i have well over my bullion total in it.
you guys forgot to post addresses...get with the fricken program people! I don't know how to track isp's yet....
Haha, im not worried....this bunch of silver will have to be earned if aomeone wants to take it! Crook: its a stick up! Me: Dont make it an ambulance pick-up. One of the best quotes made: You think they stopped making guns after they made yours???
