Proof modern silver, 24X face is this a good deal?

Stopped in at a New Hampshire shop today and the fellow had cracked open a bunch of modern sets and has a lot of dimes, quarter and halves @$24 X face. I bought several hundred worth, and he was a lot more. Do these coins have a big premium in nice proof condition? Thanks.

Commem dollars too? I personally would have bought junk silver just so I can play with it but 24x face is a good deal for proof silver, idk about a great deal but I would most likely but a good amount at 24x face.

I would think so. One, you will be getting full weight of silver since they are not worn, and two, you always have the better than average chance for collector appreciation.

If you are in the market for silver, I personally would think this is an excellent deal.

I already bought three quarter rolls figuring that was the best deal with the state quarters, etc.. They were all gleaming, freshly cracked out. I will be back.

I also bought an 1804 half cent with old graffiti, but ex. toning and detail for $25 and an 1831 quarter with a bit of corrosion but VF details for $80; also an 1928 $20 gold note in XF-AU for under $200.

I limit my use of the internet to the library, and as far as I know there is no way to do pics from library computers.

Cazkaboom One for all, all for me.

Sure, sounds like a good deal. but keep in mind I still need a 1995 silver proof half dollar, dime and nickel for my birth year set. (Seriously, if you can) :)

The silver proof coins from the 90s, 2001 and 2008 are worth a premium, the rest can be had for about melt on ebay.
Depending on how he "broke" the coins out, he might of wrecked any premium over spot anyway.
I would buy the halves and dimes first becouse of the lower mintage.
