Junk silver question.

    How come I can get junk silver Roosevelt all day long on eBay for pennies over melt, but even the last of the years (1960-1964) quarters and halves bring quite a bit over melt?

    Yea i never really understood how any of the silver bullion brings over melt considering if you were to melt it you would most certainly go the extra step to refine it and that would cost you money. I would not melt anything though just sayin.....

    I think jim nailed it, try and find a silver quarter in circulation. Its a myth like Big Foot...

    It seems to me that Roosevelt dimes just aren't all that popular right now. But, if you're looking at buying some 90% really cheap, this is your golden opportunity. I personally prefer halves if I have the choice, but a series is cheap, stock up!
