Can anyone cite the population report for 1989 proof gold Maple Leaf? 1 oz, $50.

NGC, PCGS or both? btw, I assume it is not bad form to ask for these here. I know I am asking others to provide something for free that they are paying for. If you are not suppose to do this, let me know.

Thanks, I know, but I am trying to get the population report to see the frequency of PFDCAM 69/68/67 etc.

Great! Thanks a lot. I just bought one and am trying to decide if I should send it in for grading or not. Based on your numbers it looks like better than a 50/50 chance it would be graded 68 or below and 0 chance for a 70. I think I will just keep it in the nice little maple box.

I wonder why so few are graded. How does that compare to other years with similar mintage numbers?

Does anyone have population reports from other graders (knowing that there may be some overlap from resubmits already)?

I suspect so few are graded because the '89 was the only year a proof was issued. There is no proof series to collect. The presentation box is quite nice and a lot of people, like me, like fancy boxes.
