I'm in the market for a bullion bar. Which would be a better choice? I know the silver bar is a bit more dollars, but I'm having a difficult time deciding. thanks.

    Neither.

Both have higher premiums and are more illiquid than other forms of the metals.

    gold 266.20
    silver 318.30

Depends on the premiums asked, and manufacturer

Unless you have a trusted dealer be careful buying bars.

They're both good choices. But it depends on what you already have, what your goal is, etc.

If you want to swing for the fences, I would go with silver. It's price action can get crazy in a hurry.

If you want something to hold for a long long time, then it's just a toss up which would perform better. I'd go with gold just because it's small and it will be in a nice protective capsule.

I've got one of those 5 gram Pamps and its beautiful little piece of gold. Love lady fortuna :) I'd say get a PAMP if you go for gold.

well, i bought a 1 gram PAMP bar online somewhere. It seems like PAMP is known worldwide and is well established. Figure it will be a good start on my gold bar collection, starting from the bottom and working upward.

well, i bought a 1 gram PAMP bar online somewhere, forgot which site, it was an impulse buy. It seems like PAMP is known worldwide and is well established. Figure it will be a good start on my gold bar collection, starting from the bottom and working upward.
