Evening everyone, Got home tonight and was flipping through my new copy of Coin Prices mag. and noticed something I haden't heard of before, they have listed a $50 Gold Eagle as a 2008 W Reverse of '07. I am familiar with this for the Silver Eagle but haven't heard of it on the $50 Eagle and can't find anything about it on the web. Has anyone else heard of this or know if there is any difference in the 07/08 designs for the Gold Eagles? I have a set of 2008w's but not sure what to look for! Thanks! J
I go with no such thing. if there was such a variety it would have been noted before now. doesn't take long as there are people who just look for those kinds of things.
Good evening everyone, I wanted to bring this post up again just in case anyone has any information on it as I am preparing to sell my 2008 set and dont want to give away a rare variety! It's been about a year since my original post on it and it is still listed in the magazine, just no info on it~ Could it be the "U" in united like the Silver Eagle? Any help would be appreciated.... I've never heard of the variety. The only one I know of is the American Silver Eagle '08 with the '07 reverse. I'm thinkin' typo in the magazine......
Ya know? PM jaceravone and ponder the question with him. I think he used to collect these pieces.......
