I am thinking about buying $75 in face for 18x face value. Good mix of merc's, roosevelts, standing liberty and washington quarters and halves that range from 1911 to 1964. it sounds good to me, but i want to know what people are realistically paying for junk these days. Thanks,
I see people paying less than that on craigslist, so I think both you and the seller are having a fair deal.
I called my local B&M Saturday to get a price on 90% junk silver and his price was $20.06. I think $18.00 is very fair.
I would intend to agree with the others. I think the sellers motive for selling cheaper than other dealers is that he believes there is still some correction for silver in the near future.
He also works at a pawn shop....so he may be getting it cheaper, but like everyone says...I think its fair for both parties involved. He also has 50+ Morgans/Peace Dollars for sale, but he is wanting $30/coin, which I think is too much.
I should note....he works at a shop that most likely does not search for key dates, so maybe i will get lucky!!
Pretty good deal. Some places were charging $20 per dollar value and if you can get a good mix it would be worth it. $30 for Morgans could be a good deal if the condition of the coin is clean. Most stores charge $30 to 40 for Morgan dollars.
yes its a great deal. I will give you 19X plus shipping for it, and you make an instant profit. Lol, some coin shops are paying more than 18X so yes its a great deal. You can easily flip for a profit same day.
