Hi, I have purchased a few of these now and have a question about the capsule that they're shipped in from the Mint (Canadian). They look like direct-fit Air-Tites, and have the exact same outer dimensions as all of the 'A' type Air-Tites (outer dimensions on all ring and direct-fits from same 'type' capsule are identical), but I can't figure out which Air-Tite they are (if any). The coins are advertised as 27mm (they mic out slightly less than that), but Air-Tite doesn't make a 27mm 'A' Type capsule (that I know of). Anyway... My real question/objective is to store my $25 AGEs in 'A' type Air-Tites. The 1/2 AGEs are also advertised as 27mm, and THEY FIT IN THE CANADIAN HOLDERS (I tried it). But they are VERY tight - unlike the Canadian coins, which fit perfectly. Here's the skinny - I like the 'A' type holders because they fit perfectly in standard half-dollar plastic tubes. I coin-roll-hunt for 40% and 90% silver halves (and hoard them - without Air-Tites of course), so I've got a bit of a logistical infrastructure set up for that size storage. I also like the 1/2 oz gold bullion size - as it seems like a decent compromise (for me) between size and premium. So... any ideas how best to pull this off? Are those Canadian capsules just the 'Small Dollar' direct-fit A-Type Air-Tites (A26)? Is there a better alternative to buying these (A26) and jamming the $25 AGE in there? Thanks in advance.
Don't know the answer. Isn't the story of the canoe coin amazing? Can't wait to get the next ones at the end of the month.
Yeah - the canoe coins are GORGEOUS. I would have bought a LOT more if they didn't put the 3-per limit on them. Do you have a release schedule for the coins/series? What's the next one in line?
I talked to RCM, and they said end of this month, or next month for the next one. No way they top the beauty of the canoe coin. Because of the story behind the design, and the design, it is as stunning as the UHR.
