Is silver a foolish buy right now?

Again, I only purchase the ones in OGP and never above Greysheet prices. I have had no problems re-selling them at a profit.

They are too selling for over thirty !! just can't justify it though. I mean people will even pay more if their shiny , Morgans even more depending on condition of course with everything. so, if silver don't fall into the teens, then Siver at this price will be risky if you're a stacker I would think.. unless your a (non-purists' collectors...) as GoldFinger1969 would say

Specifically the one I bought is a 1991-D USO unc (w/o OGP). ~125K mintage. Not bad.

I often look for commemorative silver dollars on e-bay, and seldom see any below around $25

I probably asked myself the same question about 12 years ago when silver was under $10 an ounce.

I stepped into my local G&S store today and asked if there was anything new.
Nope stuff is harder to get and the premium is high.
He said even 90% constitutional his cost was $11.25 over spot.
He did have two 5oz old pour Engelhard bars in a case (He bought a few 10's and 5's special order for a customer and added two for his inventory...more for display (I didn't ask the price)

I'd venture to guess in the 300+ range.
I didn't think to get a picture to research what series.
The owner when telling me about them sounded like the people that previous asked didn't want pay his price.

Bought 3 more today for $20 each.

    1983 P Olympics
    1991 D USO
    1989 S Congress

Still a nice price in my opinion.

Right now silver is up a little and I do not buy at any coin store. I just (yesterday Morning) purchased a complete collection from a person who needed $$ and I bought everything he had. 2 10oz Johnson Mathey .999 silver bars, a mixture of 78 Morgans and Peace dollars, 1tube of 1951 Unc Wash qtrs, 1 tube of 50 1/10 oz mini Walking Liberty coins(never saw these before)1 1960 proof set in plastic holder 26 rolls of uncirculated nickels, 88 war nickels, 3 silver Ikes (proofs) and 9 rolls of Lincoln wheat pennies. Have not yet gone through everything but I am like a kid at Christmas and will spend a little more time today evaluating my luck!
Semper Fi and Merry Christmas to all of you. God Bless and stay healthy in the new year.
