I'm happy for you but I'll be more surprised if my 3837xxxx ships - period. I have plans on buying something else if it doesn't happen and I do have one coming from ebay for less than $600.
Don't give up on it! I also was considering getting a set off eBay but they got too expensive... Wish I had gotten five.
Lucky, you made the cut. I'm also a 3835er but mine didn't go. I knew it'd be close, so now I wait until Monday to see it ship, Tuesday to receive. And, I'm a Vet, you'd think they'd do better by me. Anyway, congratulations!!!!:thumb:
Thanks! I was a lower 3835, next digit was 2, probably your order will be filled tomorrow, I don't see why it wouldn't be on a Saturday
once some one sells a set I would have ebay remove the photos.some one is using my photos, i'm on hold with ebay. In my ad i stated the coins in photo are the ones you will receive.but it makes me look dishonest when some one else is using my photos. ugh ! how dumb is that
they edited it out and added one, here is the ad but my photoshttp://www.ebay.com/itm/17072699590...l:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1429.l2649#ht_2085wt_1398
it's probably not a big deal but i just don't agree with people stealing photos. they should just use a stock photo if they are lazy
I think you can report it to eBay, nice picture by the way. I have an eBay problem of my own going on right now, other than my limit of 7 ITEMS A MONTH because I was in the hospital! I sold an old iPhone and shipped it with an eBay printed label. The buyer contacted me and said the item did not arrive and that they lived in a different zip code of the same town. I checked online, the info on the website is correct and matches the address they gave me, but on the receipt of the label I printed, it is a different name, address and shipping amount the buyer paid. I don't know what the heck happened. I think the buyer may have changed their address to scam me with buyer protection, but I insured the package with private insurance and I used eBay to print the label.
ebay is a joke some times. there is a lot of good buyers and sellers but some bad. i reported it. they said because the auction is almost over they may not be able to stop it in time. i gues it has to go through the security department.
No email notification but I checked checked my Mint account and show the following:
25TH ANNIVERSARY AE 5 COIN SILVER SET 5 $299.95 $1,499.75 5 units shipped on 11/11/2011
Guess I can expect delivery Tuesday or Wednesday?
Well I went ahead and did it - sold 5 of my 10 sets on Ebay. Took a best offer of $3500~ which is not to shabby all things considered.Between Ebay and Paypal they got me for $215~. Only other expense is shipping and insurance which will probably be about $50~ Overall I am pleased as I am certain prices will come down a bit once the other 60-70,000 sets are shipped... Ebay auction count for "25th Anniversary Silver Eagle Set" is now showing 440 auctions which is considerably more then the 100~ or so there were when I posted mine the other night. So the grand tally... $3500 - $1505 - $215 - $50 = Roughly $1730~ profit from 5 sets. Will I regret it later? Very Possibly. My last 5 sets are definitly going to the graders. Overall, I'm satisfied.
You do know that USPS normal insurance and shipcover does not cover coins or bullion items? If you use these forms of insurance, you're just wasting money. You may as well not even pay for insurance. Registered mail is the only insurance form that explicitly states it will cover these items. Also it only covers up to $1000. Also if it's anything like USPS insurance, it'll only cover the lesser of original cost or replacement cost, so your payout may be less than expected if you do have to file. For shipcover, because it's an ebay/paypal product, you can't even fib saying it wasn't for coins (illegal to do in any case) because they have the auction & paypal information. http://pages.ebay.com/insurance/shipping/coverage.html
