Thanks for this info. It appears that the Mint is getting about 10,000 shipped a day. Your shipment puts my order within 9700 of potentials to make cut. Not sure when they started shipping today but read that the cut-off is 3:30 PM EST for UPS. That makes it really close. I'll either be the last to go out before week end or the first on Monday. It's not critical but it would feel nice having them. Yours and others shipped today probably won't be delivered until Monday though unless UPS is doing Saturday delivery on these. Does anybody know?

Only 47 minutes before mine but my number is in the 38357", thats a lot of coins.

A friend of mine ordered early enough in two separate orders (1 is for 2 sets, and the other is for 3 sets) with dif. shipping and billing address, and he was out of town, back today, and then saw the letter from the Mint, asking to confirm both orders. The letter dated Nov. 4th, asking return in 10 days. But today is Veteran Day, NO USPS service!! So he can only mail out tomorrow.

Anyone think the Mint should give 11 days due to the Veteran Day? That is only fair. He was trying to call them today, NO one at work, the whole Fed. gov. is off for today!

 

Few have said they called in and finished up the verification. Doesnt hurt to call and see if they are open.

 

retarded that they sent out a letter via snail mail. why not call or email. At best if you get the letter and return it immediately, it's probably 10 days already. lol

 

....and the additional 13 minutes till my order brought it up to 38360xxx. No wonder things were jammed.

 

Thanks for the reply. He called today, NO one answer the phone. Veteran Day is an official holiday for ALL federal gov. employees. So have to wait till tomorrow.

 

My guess, that is their plan. They did it anyway even at HIGHER cost to them. In this friend of mine's case, the Mint provides TWO postage paid envelops.

This way, more of those who ordered earlier will be kicked out, so more of those who ordered late can fill in. That means less people will curse the Mint. And also my guess is that in this kind of situation, the Mint will take the 5 sets and assign them to five buyers who are on the waiting list, does not matter how many they have originally ordered. Just my guess

I thought I called them before on Weekend? Maybe I remember wrong. I will try to see if they open on weekend.

 

Called mint, talked to supv. They do not ship on weekends. All of us that are waiting, will have to wait a little longer. At least we know they are in the 3835 group of orders.

 

i talked to a very nice lady that said they had MANY,MANY bad orders that is why some is still in process maybe there is hope my order was at 4:30 she said i should get mine but not to put it in stone also fulfillment worked today so will be many going to shipping Monday morning

 

when did you call? I tried to call them today, but NO one answered the phone.

 

My order, #383763XX, was finally placed at 4:50 P.M. – even though I had been trying since noon to place my order. That frustration aside, my order request is “still in process,” and is expected to ship on November 27, 2011. Finding myself in the same boat as many others, this date is continually pushed back a day for every new day that dawns. In short, do any of you think I have a chance of having my order fulfilled? Or am I down you-know-what creek without a paddle?

 

Youre in better shape than me. I placed my order at 5:02PM, 38378XXXX. I think we have a slight chance and are on the bubble. The Mint does not know which order will be last until they run out of sets.
