Thought it might be helpful for those of you who are not going to open your 25th Anniversary ASE set box from UPS, to see what's inside - click here for a short video. And, here are the photos from the video for your viewing pleasure.
Thanks for posting the video Yo-Yo Spin. Definitely a fun experience for you, huh? I know many of us are wondering what to do, so i won't get the pleasure of opening my box, it will have to go still sealed stored away until I figure it out. Chris
There's 3 grand worth of product sitting there! Why not? lol I got a kick out of it. Looks like a Springfiled XD or an HK. I might set my new Kimber pro covert II out while I open mine as well! Thanks for the video. I can hardly stand the anticipation. I ordered mine at 1 p.m. and mine haven't even shipped yet. This was interesting. Did they all look like 70s? Milk spots? Grease marks?
Thanks guys - the gun is a Ruger 9mm SR9c with a 17 round (zombie smacker) mag. After further examination of all five sets, I can report the following: - In every case, one or two of the coins were dislodged from the display rack, but all were still firmly enclosed in the plastic capsule. - I can see no damage to the coins what so ever. - No mint blemishes, scratches or other imperfections either...they all look perfect to me.
Thanks for the update. That's great news from a sampling of 25 coins for everyone looking to get them graded.
Thanks for the video. Yes, definitely larger than I thought too – looks like a storage problem, five sets may fill up a large SDB. For some reason I’m not seeing pics of all the coins – is it just me or are you going to post more? Just a heads up, that I’d edit out, although slightly burry, your address is readable. I'll be over later (just a joke).
Thanks, looks like you posted two pics of the S coin and are missing the W unc and the Prook obverse has an unc reverse with it. Hate to bother you, but if you have the other pics, can you post them? If not, no big deal.
Great looking coins. Thanks for sharing the opening of your set's with all of us. I still haven't decided if I am going to open mine or leave them sealed and send in to be graded.
I liked the gun the most. Could it be a "Walther"? Nice coins too so the admin doesn't lose a feathaer on the subject.
Now that you've seen how large these set boxes are, just imagine 10,000 or more being delivered to the grading houses over the next week...it's going to be a mad house.
