Funny, yesterday it changed from On Hold to In Process, then today, or for me the Butt Crack of Dawn, with a side of Heart Attack!, I get the same e-mail everyone else is getting and my order was in early as well, 12:10pm.
Yes, the wrong word to use. That appears to be their new standard letter, as I received it for one of the ATB's and have since received it.
The biggest difference was the UHR wasn't a limited mintage. They produced them to demand. The only anxiety was whether the price would go up before you placed your order or down AFTER you placed it.
Coin World reported this morning that a total of 27,254 orders were placed for an average of 3.7 sets per order. 22,413 were online orders and 4,841 were phone orders.
bid history on that auction is strange. There's basically 2 bidders that drove the price from $800 to the stratosphere. I'm wondering if some buyers are getting confused thinking some of these auctions are for 5 sets, not a single set of 5 coins.
I got curious and had to check it out. Mine says that too. Order Status: Your order request is in process. No big deal, cause it still says expected ship date 11/14/2011 though. Chuck
I ordered 3 sets at 4:02 pm and got the same email regarding the 3 sets. After all they hysteria I decided to max out my 5 and put in two more orders for 1 set each early Friday morning and did not receive an email about those two orders. So it looks like if you got the email you are in, and if not your order is on the wait list. So it looks like the email was a good thing for those who got it
thats what i was thinking, also looks like the pre-sales have cooled down some. price range seems to be mid 500's to low 600's
if you don't mind me asking ,what time did you get your order in ? it seems like the ones who ordered in first ten minutes are being processed. mine was stamped 12:12. est still on hold. but it has only been 2 business days.
Less than 27,000 unique buyers managed to order a set, meaning that the other collectors are going to have to buy this in the secondary market. The 27,000 figure is likely high too because people were placing multiple orders of 1 - 2 sets, not to mention others having friends/family order for them as well. This thing is going to skyrocket.
I started straight up at High Noon, and it took me exactly an hour to get my order placed. Order #3833XXXX Perhaps it has something to do with what facility it is being shipped from??? I was thinking that perhaps the reason everybody got this email today, might be because they have set that date in stone as far as the 1st ship date from the mint, and maybe that's the date PCGS and others will be using? Just a WAG Chuck
My order has been changed to processing now too. I'm so excited, hopefully this can pay for my books for next year!
