I don’t know, but if the ratio of 70’s is high, there shouldn’t be much premium. And, like someone mentioned, they’re all “first strikes”. If I get mine graded, I’m opening them, sorting out the clearly better coins and only sending those in.

'I think the way it works is that the orders all got taken and put on hold. Probably more orders than they have product for. Sometime after the sellout, they put up the waitlist notice. Now they'll check the orders (processing credit cards, checking compliance with ordering limits) and start to package and ship in the order in which they were received.'

Maybe I'm being a worrywart, but how can the US Mint know whether your credit/check card is good without running an actual authorization for the sale amount (for example, that one can see on their online banking activity)? In my past experiences with purchasing from them, they only run through the actual charge just prior to shipping. I have plenty enough money in my checking account to cover the $1504.70 charge, but I'm concerned because I have a new bank (W*&^% F#%$&), and I don't want them to deny my transaction because they suspect fraud (due to this charge being so atypically large). I already called my bank's customer service to give them the head's up, to expect the $1504.70 charge. But what happens if they do refuse/delay the charge? Do you only get one chance for it to go through and then the US Mint cancels your order? (I know that an expired credit card cancels your order, but that's not a problem for me). Or does the US Mint try more than once to run the authorization/charge through on your check/credit card? I will feel a lot better if the US Mint would simply run the charge through now and not make me wait until the shipping date to see if it will be approved. It would be a big relief. As it is now, I'm worried sick over this:( Does anyone else share my phobia? Or am I just being unduly worried? I know I sound like a broken record, but until one receives the actual coins, I don't know how anyone can be sure that he/she will in fact actually get them....The uncertainty is very stressful:(

With this being such a popular set... they are really going to crack down on multiple orders. If you ordered more then once and had them shipped to other places but used the same credit/debit card they are going to cancel your orders.

Yeah that really sucks for people who bought 5 sets individually. When I was looking for info on the PCGS forums last night I noticed a lot of people placing between 3-5 orders to the same address but not exceeding the 5 limit, me thinks those folks are HOSED!

I've got 2 orders, one to my house with my Discover card and the second account is my moms, different address and CC. Yeppers some folks are gonna be MAD!

+++ Don't worry about it. You have a confirmation order, you'll receive them.

Right. When they are ready to ship, they will process the order including the credit card. Someone posted a link to the whole process from the Mint website. If there is a problem, they go on to the next order in sequence and yours won't get filled that day. When your order does clear (they'll try it again the following day) it gets put next in line and ships.

Not necessarily. They have taken more orders than they have product for. It depends on the time of your order and how many earlier orders get cancelled.

No, that is incorrect. If you have a confirmation order, prior to the "waiting list" order, you will receive them. They were in stock at 4:55 P:M. Files and timestamps can corroborate this easily. No orders will be cancelled, you can be assured of that, unless someone has no knowledge at all. A mistake I made was that I had four additional in my cart, and removed them, so as others would have an opportunity. I really never believed in greed to the point of hurting others.

Yes, it is correct. Everyone got confirmation. Like you said, you need a confirmation AND the time stamp.

For all those that missed these sets, don’t get mad get even. Load up on the better deal, the 5oz. P Mint ATB’s for $229.95, which have a much lower mintage than these eagles. Once a collector base is established for the ATB’s they’ll be worth much more than these eagles.

Looks like set prices have moved up a bit... seeing 650-800.

Will this continue or when the sets starts to ship will we see a dip in price?

I don't know. All this crazy money for these sets kind of makes me nervous.
